5 Days From Marrakesh To Tangier

Itinerary & Program Of 5 Days From Marrakech To Tangier Via Degier
5 days from Marrakesh to Tan.

Day 1: Marrakesh – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge

You will begin your 5-day tour from Marrakech to Tanger upon meeting with your driver, who will pick you up at a predetermined location. The tour takes us through the scenic Atlas mountains, where you will stop and explore some villages, as well as the breathtaking city of Ouarzazate, where we will pay a visit to the studios of Atlas and have a close look at the gorgeous Kasbah “Taourirt”. Further along, we will go to see the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the greatest Kasbah in Morocco and a World Heritage Site via UNESCO. After we tour Ouarzazate city, we will head towards the Valley of Roses and the Valley of Dades. Our trip will end at the Dales Gorges. Overnight in Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga-Camel trekking-Night at the Desert Camp.

We will begin the second day in the Sahara desert by going on a stroll between the gorges while appreciating the beautiful views. Next, we head to the milestone river canyon, the Gorges of Todra. After enjoying our stop here, we will pass by cities such as Erfoud (well-known for fossils and dates; here if you are interested in finding out about a factory with its museum of fossils); and Rissani on our way to the Sahara desert of Merzouga. We reach the hotel and get ready for your camel trek into the desert. As the sun sets behind you, we take a wonderful camel ride via the charming Sahara, arriving approximately 1 hour later at the desert camp of Erg Chebbi. Dinner is served at the camp, then after that you will enjoy the view that will be mixed with some Berber music. Then, you could watch the sky full of shooting stars. Then spend the night in there.

On Day 3, visit Merzouga, Midelt, Azrou Forest, Ifrane, and Fez.

You will wake early in the morning to try out the once-in-a-lifetime experience of sitting on a dune in the desert and watching a wonderful sunrise. Shortly afterwards, we head back to the hotel by camel and enjoy a vital breakfast along with a shower before departing from the desert. We will pass by the Ziz valley, and after that, we will drive through the Atlas mountains (pass of Tizi Talghomt, 1907m alt) to Fes city. We will stop in the national cedar forest near Azrou to observe the native monkeys. After that, we will pass by the Switzerland of Morocco, that is, Ifrane, prior to arriving at Fez in order to spend the night there.

Day 4. Exploration of Fez and Chafchaouen .

You will tour Fes, including the old medina, and you will dedicate the day to exploring the ancient intellectual Medina in Morocco. You will begin with the royal palace, the Jewish quarter, the uphill view from the south Bourj, and the ceramic pottery store and factory. After visiting all these places, you will go on an exploration venture within the Medina to experience the diverse life of it and the cultural and historical sites, including the well-known Al Qaraouine University—the oldest in the region—the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will pay a visit to the tile cooperative and then gaze upon the stunning panoramic scenery over the entire Medina of Fes. In the afternoon, after you are done with your visit, we will head towards Chafchaouen. Overnight in there.

Chafchaouen-Tanger, Day 5

This is the 5th and last day of our 5-day trip from Marrakech to Tanger. You will have some time in the morning to explore the charm of the blue city of Chafchaouen on your own. Chafchaouen was founded in 1471. The Jewish and Berber people lived in Chafchaouen prior to the Spanish colony. People were painting their houses in blue to keep the mosquitoes away, and the blue symbolizes paradise. In the afternoon, we will head to the north of Morocco. After 2 hours and a half of driving from Chafchaouen, we will reach Tanger, and we will drop you off at your accommodation (hotel or riad) in Tanger.
