Itinerary for 5 days tour from Casablanca :
We will collect you from either the airport, port, or your lodgings in Casablanca, which is not only Morocco's largest city but also its economic hub. Our first stop will be the Hassan II Mosque, situated on the city's west coast and renowned as Morocco's biggest mosque. It stands on a headland, affording splendid views of the Atlantic Ocean. Afterward, you'll have free time to enjoy lunch. We'll then proceed to tour the city, including a visit to the magnificent Corniche of Casablanca, before settling in for the night at a hotel.
Following breakfast, we will depart Casablanca to explore the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, which have been exceptionally well-preserved and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ruins are adorned with many beautiful mosaics, as well as ancient pillars and archways scattered throughout. After exploring the ruins, we will travel 30 km to the city of Meknes, which was once the Ismaili capital and an imperial city. Here, we will visit several landmarks, including Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. We will then proceed to Fes, where we will stay overnight in a traditional Moroccan guesthouse known as a Riad.
Following breakfast, we will embark on a journey south through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, a city famous for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style architecture, earning it the nickname "Switzerland of Morocco." Continuing on, we will arrive at the cedar forest, home to the Barbary macaques, where you can freely feed them while exploring the forest. Later, we will have a stop in Midelt for lunch before driving through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz valley with scenic stops.
In the afternoon, we will reach the Merzouga Sahara Desert, where we will switch to camels and journey across the sandy desert. We will make a stop on top of a high dune to enjoy the sunset before continuing on to the camp. The camp combines the traditional nomadic tents with the luxurious amenities of a hotel. You can delight in Berber drums music while dancing around the campfire under the vast open sky filled with stars. Finally, dinner will be served, and we will spend the night in the camp.
To witness the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert, it is essential to wake up early in the morning. After the spectacle, we will have free time for breakfast before returning to Merzouga on camelback, where our driver will be waiting for us. We will then depart the desert to visit Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet and a major trading center in the region.
Following a stroll through the Rissani souk, we will continue our journey to Erfoud, where we will visit one of the workshops that specialize in fossilized marble. Our next stop will be at the Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves before reaching the Todra Gorges, where the course of the Todra river has carved out a grand red cliff-sided canyon through the mountains, an ideal place for rock climbers. Here, we will have free time to explore the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape before stopping for lunch at a nearby restaurant.
Afterward, we will continue our journey to the Dades valley through Boumalne Dades, making stops at the "monkey fingers" a rock formation and for a view of the Dades valley before finally arriving at our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Our trip carries on towards Kalaa Magouna, where we visit the Rose valley and witness the yearly Rose Festival held in May. The locals showcase their rose products during the festivity. After that, we make our way through Skoura's palm groves to get to Ouarzazate. Here, we explore the studios famous for hosting the filming of numerous blockbuster movies.
Our next stop is the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fortified village has featured in several movies, such as Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and TV series, including Game of Thrones. We then head to Marrakech by traversing the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi-N-Tichka pass. We pause along the way for lunch and to capture memorable moments at scenic locations. Finally, we arrive at Marrakech and transfer you to the airport or your lodging, marking the end of the 5 days tour from Casablanca.
