Itinerary

8-Day Marrakech Desert Tours in the morning, departing from your accommodation or the airport. The first destination is Dades Valley, which can be reached by traversing the High Atlas Mountains through the well-known Tizi N-Tichka pass, towering at an elevation of 2260 meters.
During the excursion, a visit to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah is a must, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, and renowned for its appearance in blockbuster films such as Laurence of Arabia, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and more. Relish the breathtaking and diverse views of the landscape as you pass through small Berber villages. Along the way, we will pause at various lookout points to appreciate the picturesque scenery and capture some photographs. Then, the journey continues towards the town of Ouarzazate, known as "the gateway to the Sahara desert." Here, you will explore Kasbah Taourirt and the Film Studios before proceeding to Dades Gorges, traveling along the scenic route of one thousand Kasbahs. Upon arrival at Boumalne Dades, you will have dinner and spend the night in a traditional Riad or hotel.

Following a traditional Moroccan breakfast, we'll depart from Dades and head towards Todra Gorges. Before embarking on the road of 1000 kasbahs that leads to the town of Tinghir and the Todra Gorge, take a leisurely stroll through the narrow canyon of the Dades gorges and capture stunning valley pictures from the 300m high preferred spot for mountainers.
Next, we'll proceed towards the Merzouga Sahara Desert and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant en route before reaching the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga in the late afternoon. Embark on a 1.5 hour camel trek to the heart of the desert and witness the spectacular sunset from atop the highest sand dunes. Indulge in a delectable dinner accompanied by Berber drums music and dance before spending the night at a Standard or Luxury Desert Camp under the starry sky.

Your camel guide will wake you up at dawn to witness the most unforgettable sunrise of your life, followed by breakfast before embarking on a camel trek back to your Riad or Hotel in Merzouga. There, your driver/guide awaits to commence our off-road adventure tour around the sand dunes.
Make the most of this opportunity to explore the Merzouga region, starting with visits to Berber villages, such as Khamlia, also known as the black people, where you'll be warmly welcomed with a cup of tea and treated to the soulful sounds of their spiritual Gnawa music. Take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the sand dunes and immerse yourself in the nomadic lifestyle, observing the people living under tents and tending to their herds of goats and camels. Explore abandoned mines and an oasis of palm trees before returning to Merzouga. You'll have some free time to explore the bustling streets of this vibrant city.

The 4th day of the 8 days tour from Marrakech will conclude with an off-road adventure and unforgettable nomadic encounters in the Sahara Desert. Following breakfast, we'll make our way to Midelt via the towns of Rissani and Erfoud, where you'll have the chance to stroll through the genuine Souk and shop like a local. As we continue towards Midelt, we'll pause along the way to savor the breathtaking views of palm trees lining the Ziz valley.
Our journey will take us through the stunning Rich Ziz Gorges, which are etched into volcanic rock, after Errachidia. We'll then traverse the Tizi N Talghamt pass to arrive in Midelt, where we'll spend the night in our hotel with dinner, bed, and breakfast.

On the 5th day of our 8 day excursion from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will depart Midlet after breakfast and journey towards Fes, passing through charming old Berber villages in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we'll pause to observe and snap some photos with the renowned Barbary macaques in the Cedar forest, located just before the town of Azrou. We'll then proceed towards Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco," before finally arriving at our destination in Fes, where we'll drop you off at your hotel or riad.

While visiting Morocco, it's essential and thrilling to explore the oldest and most magnificent monuments in Fez city. You can opt for a half-day guided tour of the medina with a local guide, followed by some leisure time in the afternoon to explore other areas of the city. The Fes medina is the largest living ancient medina globally, and it has been recognized as a UNESCO site since 1981.
During the tour, you will discover the historical landmarks situated in the Old Medina (Fes-el-Bali), such as the Nejjarin Museum, Al Quaraouin (the oldest university in Morocco), the Jewish Quarter, and even witness the renowned Fes leather tannery from a bird's-eye view. Additionally, you will have the chance to explore more fascinating places before retiring for the night in your hotel or Riad.

On the 7th day of your 8 days tour from Marrakech, after having breakfast, we will depart from Fes towards Rabat via Meknes, where we will make a stop at the archaeological site of Volubilis. This site provides an insight into the lifestyle of Moroccans during the Roman Empire and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
While in Meknes, we will visit the well-known Bab El Mansour gate, which is considered the most famous gate in Africa. Additionally, we will explore the Lahdim square and its spices Souk (market) and pay a visit to the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, which was the only mosque in Morocco that permitted non-Muslim visitors in the past. We will then proceed with our journey to the political capital of Morocco, Rabat, which is also situated on the coast. Here, we will see the red ochre walls with crenellations, visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, the famous Hassan 2 tower, and the Mohamed 5 mausoleum. Our accommodation for the night will be at a hotel/ Riad located in the Medina.

On the final day of our 8 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will depart from Rabat in the morning and travel to Marrakech via Casablanca. Following breakfast, we will commence our tour with a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, which is Africa's second-largest mosque and the seventh largest in the world. The mosque's minaret stands at an impressive height of 689 ft (210 meters), making it the world's second tallest minaret. Following the visit, we will return to Marrakech, which will serve as your departure point.
Once we arrive, you will have the remainder of the day to explore at your leisure. You can stroll around the famous Djemaa El Fna square or engage in any activities that you had planned to do in Marrakech before your journey to Morocco. Upon completion, we will drop you off at your hotel, Riad, or the airport, depending on your departure time. With that, our 8 days tour to Merzouga and the imperial cities will come to an end. It brings us great pleasure to know that we were able to provide you with unforgettable memories and experiences that will last a lifetime.
