7 day Morocco itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca – Hassan II Mosque – Corniche

Welcome to Morocco! Your driver will meet you at Casablanca Airport and transfer you into the city.

If your flight arrives in the morning and there is enough time after airport formalities, begin your journey with a visit to Hassan II Mosque, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. An interior visit will be arranged around the mosque’s available guided-tour schedule. Admission is separate unless included in your quotation.

Afterwards, continue to the Ain Diab Corniche for a walk along the waterfront and free time for lunch. Depending on your arrival time and energy levels, enjoy additional sightseeing before checking into your accommodation.

For afternoon or evening arrivals, the day’s visits will be adjusted to allow time to rest.

Overnight: Hotel in Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, leave Casablanca and travel north towards Chefchaouen, with breaks along the way. As you approach the town, the scenery changes to the hills and mountain landscapes of the Rif region.

On arrival, check into your traditional riad and enjoy free time to discover Chefchaouen independently. Wander through its blue-painted lanes, browse small shops and pause for mint tea in Outa el Hammam Square.

This afternoon is deliberately flexible, allowing you to explore, take photographs and enjoy the town at your own pace.

Overnight: Traditional riad in Chefchaouen.
Meals: Breakfast.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Fes – Guided Medina Tour

After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and travel through the Rif foothills towards Fes.

On arrival, meet your local guide for an afternoon tour of the historic medina. Explore its winding lanes, traditional markets and artisan quarters while learning about the city’s history and daily life.

Depending on the available time and opening hours, the walk may include a historic madrasa, a tannery viewpoint and exterior views of important religious landmarks. Entrance fees for paid monuments are separate unless specified in your quotation.

After the tour, transfer to your riad and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Overnight: Traditional riad in Fes.
Meals: Breakfast.

An early departure from Chefchaouen helps preserve time for the guided visit. This is an afternoon introduction to Fes rather than a full-day city tour.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Middle Atlas – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Leave Fes early after breakfast for your journey to the Sahara.

Travel through Ifrane and the Middle Atlas Mountains, with a possible stop near the cedar forests around Azrou. Continue towards Midelt, stopping for lunch along the route.

In the afternoon, pass through changing mountain and desert landscapes and enjoy views of the Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves, before continuing towards Erfoud and Merzouga.

On arrival near the Erg Chebbi dunes, meet your desert team for a camel ride to camp, timed for sunset when arrival and weather conditions allow. A 4×4 transfer can be arranged for guests who prefer it.

Settle into your tent, enjoy dinner and spend the evening beneath the desert sky. Traditional music may be offered at camp, depending on conditions and the camp’s programme.

Overnight: Desert camp in Merzouga.
Meals: Breakfast and dinner.

This is one of the longest travel days. Stops will be balanced with the arrival time needed for your desert experience.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Ouarzazate

Wake early if you would like to watch sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast at camp.

Return to the meeting point by camel or 4×4, according to your arrangements, and begin the drive towards Tinghir and Todra Gorge.

Stop at the gorge for a short walk beneath its towering rock walls and time to enjoy the scenery. After a lunch break, continue through the Dades Valley region and towards Ouarzazate.

Arrive at your accommodation in the late afternoon or evening, depending on stops and road conditions.

Overnight: Hotel or riad in Ouarzazate.
Meals: Breakfast; dinner if included in your selected package.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, leave Ouarzazate and travel to Ait Ben Haddou.

Enjoy time to explore its earthen lanes, fortified buildings and elevated viewpoints. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as the visit involves uneven paths and steps.

Continue towards Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Stop for photographs and lunch along the way as the schedule allows.

On arrival in Marrakech, check into your riad and enjoy the remaining afternoon or evening independently. You may choose to visit Jemaa el-Fna Square, explore nearby souks or relax at your accommodation.

Overnight: Riad in Marrakech.
Meals: Breakfast.

Day 7: Marrakech – Airport Transfer

Enjoy breakfast and, depending on your flight time, some final free time in Marrakech.

Your driver will collect you from your accommodation, or the nearest accessible meeting point, for your transfer to Marrakech Airport. Pickup will be arranged to allow sufficient time for the journey and airport formalities.

For an early flight, breakfast will depend on your accommodation’s service hours.

Meals: Breakfast, subject to departure time.
