The trip to Merzouga in the Sahara Desert will begin after breakfast. We will begin our journey to Tinghir and the Todra Gorge with a photo stop at Dades Gorge. There will be time to explore, and then we'll go to Tinjdad town for lunch. After lunch, we'll drive through Erfoud, Morocco's "fossil capital," on our way to Merzouga, where we'll begin our camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes at around 16:00.
The camels will be loaded with provisions before we set out for the desert. Your camel ride through the dunes will take about an hour and a half, and you'll get your own for the whole group. After checking into your individual tent, you may go for a stroll on the dunes to take in the stunning sunset and try your hand at sandboarding. When the sun goes down, you'll go back to camp for some mint tea, or "Moroccan Berber Whiskey," as it's known around here. Then, back at camp, you may enjoy a traditional Berber dish called tagine. After supper, the celebration will commence. Local Berber nomad musicians will provide traditional music with drums and dance. After that, you can relax in the tranquil desert while gazing up at the star-studded sky. Dinner and overnight at a nomad camp Beds, power, a private bathroom with a shower, and air conditioning are just some of the luxuries that can be found in the tents (please let us know which amenities you would like for an accurate quote).
