3 Day Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Valley
Early pickup from Marrakech. Drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with photo stops along the way. Visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Continue toward Ouarzazate for a lunch break (free time). Later, travel through Skoura oasis and the Rose Valley before arriving in Boumalne Dades for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga – Camel trek – Night in desert camp
After breakfast, enjoy viewpoints over the Dades Valley and continue to the spectacular Todra Gorge, with free time to walk and explore. Drive through Berber towns and palm groves toward Erfoud and then to Merzouga. In the late afternoon, ride camels into the dunes for sunset (or take a 4×4 transfer). Arrive at the camp for dinner, Berber music, and overnight in the Sahara.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes
Wake early for sunrise over the dunes, then breakfast at camp. Return to Merzouga by camel (or 4×4) and meet your driver. Visit Rissani (souk days: Tue/Thu/Sun) and continue to Erfoud to see a fossil workshop.
