Overview of the schedule for 3 days sahara desert tour from marrakech

our 3 days sahara desert tour from marrakech takes in the Dades Valley, Tinghir and the Todra Gorge, and Merzouga and the Sahara Desert. Stop at UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou on way to Dades Gorge. Camp includes a camel ride across the dunes, traditional Berber food and music. Bedrooms, air conditioning and private bathrooms are just some of the luxuries you’ll find in our tents.

The first day of the trip will take you from Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou, through Ouarzazate, to the Valley of the Roses and the Dades Gorges.

Your guide will pick you up in Marrakech and drive you across the High Atlas Mountains’ Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260m) to the Dades Gorge. We’ll take some time off to get some stunning images of the vibrant scenery and little Berber communities that dot the area. As we travel, we will stop at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, featured in such films as The Man Who Would Be King, Jewel of the Nile, Jesus of Nazareth, The Message, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Gladiator.

After seeing the site and eating lunch, we’ll move on to the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate before continuing on to the Dades Valley. We’ll next go via the intriguing Palmery of Skoura on our way to the Valley of the Roses and the lush green Dades Valley. Dades Valley is where we would finally set foot that night. Have dinner and stay the night at the hotel.

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll hit the road towards Merzouga and the Sahara Desert. We will begin our journey to Tinghir and the Todra Gorge with a picture stop at Dades Gorge. After arriving, you’ll have some time to explore before heading to Tinjdad town for lunch. After lunch, we’ll travel via Erfoud, Morocco’s “fossil capital,” and then we’ll reach Merzouga at approximately 16:00 to begin our camel trip.

Everything we need for the journey into the desert will be loaded onto the camels before we go off. Your camel ride across the dunes will take around an hour and a half, and you’ll have your own private guide for the whole group.

When you arrive at your individual tent, you may go for a stroll on the dunes to take in the sunset and try your hand at sandboarding. You’ll watch the sun go down, then go back to camp for some mint tea (or “Moroccan Berber Whiskey,” as the locals call it). Then, back at camp, you may enjoy a traditional Berber dish called tagine. The celebration will begin immediately after the meal. Traditional music performed by local Berber nomad musicians, complete with drums and dance, followed by a night under a starry desert sky. Assemble at a nomad camp for supper and the night.

Beds, power, a private bathroom with a shower, and air conditioning are just some of the luxuries that can be found in the tents (please let us know which amenities you would like for an accurate quote).

Three days in MERZOUGA, RISSANI, ALNIF, the Draa Valley, and Marrakesh.

Listen for your guide’s soft voice in the morning and get up to see the sun rise over the Saharan sand dunes. After seeing the film studios in Ouarzazate and having lunch, we will ride camels back to Merzouga for breakfast and showers before starting the trip back to Marrakech via Rissani and the Draa valley. In the evening, we’ll return to Marrakech and drop you off anywhere you’d like. Thank you for touring with All Morocco Tours!
