Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Your 3 Day Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech begins with an early pickup from your accommodation or the nearest meeting point. Travel through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with stops along the way to enjoy panoramic views and visit a local argan oil cooperative.
Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous kasbahs and a popular filming location for many international movies and series. After time to explore the kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Morocco.” After lunch, travel through the Valley of Roses and arrive in Dades Valley, where you will spend the night in a hotel or guesthouse.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Tinghir – Merzouga
Wake up early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the dunes, a magical experience not to be missed. After breakfast at the camp, you return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting.
We then leave the desert and travel to Rissani, a historic town known for its traditional market and its importance as an old trading center in the region. After visiting Rissani, we continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossils and marble workshops.
Next, we drive through desert villages and rocky landscapes toward the impressive Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most spectacular natural sites. Its towering canyon walls and fresh river make it a favorite stop for travelers and photographers. You will have time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the scenery.
Later in the day, we continue to the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations, winding roads, and kasbah-dotted landscapes. Dinner and overnight stay will be in a hotel in Dades Valley or a nearby area.
Day 3: Merzouga – Alnif – Nkob – Marrakech
Wake up early to enjoy the peaceful desert atmosphere and, if you wish, watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting. Then begin the journey back to Marrakech, passing through Alnif and Nkob, with a stop for lunch along the way. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening, where your 3 Day Sahara Desert Tour comes to an end.
