Your 3 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech begins with an early pick-up from your accommodation or the airport in Fes. We travel south through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains, with our first stop in Ifrane, a charming town often called the Switzerland of Morocco because of its clean streets, alpine-style architecture, and cool climate.

We then continue to the cedar forest of Azrou, where you may see the famous Barbary macaque monkeys. After some time to explore and take photos, we head toward Midelt for lunch, surrounded by mountain landscapes and apple orchards.

In the afternoon, we drive through the Ziz Valley, known for its impressive palm groves, old kasbahs, and panoramic views. As we get closer to the Sahara, the scenery gradually changes into a dramatic desert landscape.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will switch to camels and begin a memorable trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. On the way, you will stop to admire the sunset over the Sahara, one of the highlights of the tour. At the camp, you will enjoy dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and an overnight stay in the heart of the desert.

Wake up early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the dunes, a magical experience not to be missed. After breakfast at the camp, you return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting.

We then leave the desert and travel to Rissani, a historic town known for its traditional market and its importance as an old trading center in the region. After visiting Rissani, we continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossils and marble workshops.

Next, we drive through desert villages and rocky landscapes toward the impressive Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most spectacular natural sites. Its towering canyon walls and fresh river make it a favorite stop for travelers and photographers. You will have time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the scenery.

Later in the day, we continue to the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations, winding roads, and kasbah-dotted landscapes. Dinner and overnight stay will be in a hotel in Dades Valley or a nearby area.

After breakfast, we continue the journey toward Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Morocco because of its film studios and cinematic desert scenery. We then visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful kasbahs in Morocco. This historic fortified village has appeared in many international films and series.

After exploring Ait Ben Haddou and enjoying lunch nearby, we drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, one of the most scenic mountain roads in the country. Along the way, there will be opportunities to stop for panoramic views and photos.

In the late afternoon or evening, we arrive in Marrakech, where your 3 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech comes to an end with drop-off at your accommodation or the airport.
