Itinerary for 3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech :

The 3 days Sahara Desert excursion begins with a prompt pickup from either the airport or your lodgings in Fes. We then head south to Imouzzer and visit the famous Ifrane, known for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style homes - hence why it is nicknamed the "Switzerland of Morocco". Afterwards, we journey to the Cedars forest where the Barbary Macaque monkeys reside. You are welcome to offer them some food while you explore the forest. Next, we proceed to Midelt for lunch. Afterwards, we travel to the Sahara desert, driving over the Tizi N Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz river.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the Merzouga area of the Sahara Desert. You will then transfer to camels and traverse the sandy terrain. A pause will be made for you to witness the enchanting sunset from the top of a towering dune. Afterwards, we will arrive at the luxurious desert camp where you can listen to Berber drum music, dance around the campfire, and gaze at the star-filled sky. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp is included.

Rising early in the morning is an absolute must in order to witness the breathtaking sunrise in the midst of the desert. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast afterwards. After that, you will return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver will be waiting for you. The day will be devoted to exploring the Merzouga region, which boasts many awe-inspiring sites including sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil areas, and magnificent oases - all perfect locations for various outdoor activities.

Our journey in Merzouga starts by taking an off-road drive to an old eyeliner mine. Then, we will visit the nomads in their handmade woven tent and learn about their way of life while sipping on Berber tea. Our next stop is the Khamlia village where you will experience the Gnaoua music and dance performances. The village's inhabitants come from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. You'll have some free time for lunch at a restaurant. Afterwards, we'll take a walk in the palm tree grove and drive a short distance to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as the flamingos lake. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel is included.

Rise early in the morning to witness the captivating sunrise in the heart of the desert. Take some time to have breakfast, then return on camels to Merzouga where the driver will be waiting. From there, we will depart the desert and visit the town of Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a significant trading center in the area, with a bustling souk that is especially lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After wandering around the Rissani souk, we will move on to Erfoud and visit one of the workshops specializing in fossilized marble.

We will then drive along the Ziz river, making a stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz valley. Afterwards, we will pass through the Cedars forest and Ifrane on our way to Fes. Finally, we will drop you off at the airport or your accommodation, concluding the tour.

Hiring this agency was a great choice. They responded quickly from the first time I contacted them and they answered all my questions. We visited many places and spent a night in the desert. The tents were amazing, and the night in the desert was the best part of the whole experience. I would love to do it again!
