tours from tangier

All Morocco Tours offers a once-in-a-lifetime journey from Fes to the Sahara Desert, concluding in Marrakech.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Fes at 08:00 and depart for the south of Morocco. You will stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, to enjoy its beauty and take photos. After that, you will head toward Azrou to see the playful monkeys in the cedar forest. We will continue to Midelt and stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we will cross the pass of Tizi n Tlghamt to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of Ziz Gorge. Later on, we will stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz valley. After lunch, we will pass through Erfoud, the Moroccan capital city of fossils, and then we will arrive in Merzouga for dinner and our stay.

In the morning, we start our tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will visit a Berber house and listen to some Gnawa music, originally from Ghana and Sudan. We will visit some deserted mines, Berber nomads, and an oasis of palm trees. For lunch, we will head back to Merzouga. After relaxing for a while, we will go to the camels that are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes.

Before we leave for the desert, the camels will be packed with water, food, blankets, and everything else we will need for the trip. Each person will have their own camel and the ride will take 1.5 hours to reach the inside of the dunes.

After arriving at your own private tent, you can walk on the dunes to watch the beautiful sunset and try sand boarding on the dunes. After seeing the sun set, you will go down back to the camp to enjoy mint tea (what we call Moroccan Berber Whiskey!). Then you will have your meal of delicious Moroccan Berber tagine in the camp. After dinner, the party will start. Local Berber nomad musicians will play traditional music with drums and dancing. Afterwards, you will watch the magical sky full of stars and enjoy the peaceful desert. Dinner and overnight in a nomad camp

Tents have various amenities depending on your selection, including beds, electricity, a private bathroom with shower, and air conditioning (please let us know which amenities you would like for an accurate quote).

Awake in the morning to the gentle calling of your guide to see the sun rise over the dunes of the Sahara. We will ride camels back from Desert Camp to Merzouga for breakfast and showers. Leaving for Todra Gorge, we will drive off-road across the hamada (black Desert) to get to the Sahara town of Rissani to visit the animated local market. Afterwards, we head north to Erfoud, known for its fossils, and can stop to visit a fossil workshop before we continue to the impressive Todra canyons. Before we go to our hotels for dinner and the night, we can go hiking or rock climbing in the canyons, but you may need to make extra reservations.

After breakfast in the hotel, we begin our journey along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, viewing the enormous kasbahs on both sides of the road. We pass through Dades Valley and go up to the mountainous area through an off-road trail where there are many Berber villages and nomads living in caves. Here, we will have the chance to visit one of these families, take a look at their daily life, and learn about their main activity: looking after herds of goats and sheep. You’ll enjoy the impressive landscapes of the Valley of the Roses before we reach Skoura palm grove, and then Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, we will visit Taourirt Kasbah before departing for Ait Benhaddou. We will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, famous for films such as The Man Who Would Be King, Jewel of the Nile, Jesus of Nazareth, The Message, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Gladiator. We will continue with a visit to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the Tizi-n-Tichka to Marrakech. You will arrive in Marrakech in the evening. Thank you for choosing All Morocco Tours!
