6 Days Morocco itinerary from Marrakech

FIRST FULL DAY: MARRAKECH – AIT AOURIR – TADART – OUARZAZATE – DADES GORGES

Your guide will pick you up in Marrakech and take you via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260m) in the High Atlas Mountains on the way to the Dades Gorge. We’ll halt to take some stunning pictures of our vibrant scenery and traditional Berber communities. We will stop at Ouarzazate to see Taourirt Kasbah, then continue on our way to the Dades Valley. Then, we’ll go via the intriguing Palmery of Skoura on our way to the Valley of the Roses and the lush green Dades Valley. Evening is when we’ll finally make it to Dades Valley. In-hotel meal and overnight stay.

The DADES of Gorges, Thinner, Tengdar, Erfoud, and Merzouga on Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll hit the road towards Merzouga and the Sahara Desert. We will begin our journey to Tinghir and the Todra Gorge with a stop at the Dades Gorge for picture ops. Once there, you will have free time to explore around and then proceed to Tinjdad town, where we will stop for lunch. After lunch, we’ll go into Erfoud, Morocco’s “fossil capital,” and then on to Merzouga, where we’ll have supper and spend the night in a riad.

The Third Day: MERZOUGA, KHAMLIA, MEFIS, MERDANE, NOMADS, and ERG CHABBI

Our journey over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes begins bright and early in the morning. We’re going to a Berber home to hear some Gnawa music, which has roots in both Ghana and Sudan. Deserted mines, nomadic Berbers, and a palm tree oasis are on the itinerary. We’ll return to Merzouga in time for lunch. Once we’ve had some time to unwind, we’ll go over to the camels who are patiently ready to take us on an excursion into the sand dunes.

We will load the camels up with supplies including food, drink, and clothing before setting out into the desert. The camel ride into the dunes will take around an hour and a half, and each passenger will have their own camel.

Once you’ve checked into your individual tent, you may go for a stroll on the dunes to take in the sunset and try your hand at sandboarding. After watching the sun go down, you may go back to camp for some mint tea, or “Moroccan Berber Whiskey,” as some people call it. Then, back at camp, you may enjoy a traditional Berber dish called tagine. The celebration will begin when dessert is served. A group of Berber nomad musicians will perform their native music, complete with drums and dance. Following that, you may relax in the tranquil desert while gazing up at the star-studded sky. Feast and bedtime at a nomadic encampment

Beds, power, a private bathroom with a shower, and air conditioning are just some of the luxuries that can be found in the tents (please let us know which amenities you would like for an accurate quote).

FOURTH DAY: MERZOUGA – RISSAN – ALNIF – DRAA VALLEY – OUARZAZATE

Listen for your guide’s soft voice as dawn approaches, then get up to see the sun rise over the Saharan sand dunes. We’ll take camels from Desert Camp back to Merzouga in the morning so everyone can get clean and have breakfast. Following lunch, we’ll go to Ouarzazate through the Berber settlements of the Atlas Mountains: Tinjdad, Tinghir, Todra Gorges, and Boumalene-du-Dades. Later that night, we’ll drive to Ouarzazate and check into our riad there.

DAY 5: THE FIFTH DAY: OURAZAZTE-AIT BENHADDOU-AGDAL-MARRAKECH

After breakfast, we will travel from the hotel for Marrakech.

Along our trip, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, famed for films such as The Man Who Would Be King, Jewel of the Nile, Jesus of Nazareth, The Message, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Gladiator. We will arrive in Marrakech and spend overnight in a riad near the square.

DAY6: MARRAKECH-MARRAKECH

After a hearty breakfast at the Riad, explore Marrakech for the day with the help of an expert guide. Discover the ancient city of Marrakech with its maze of alleyways, famed marketplaces, and great historical and cultural monuments. The Majorelle Gardens, Palais de Bahia, Jewish Quarter, Saadian Tombs, and Medersa Ben Youssef are all stops on this excursion. Spend the night in the same Marrakech riad and take advantage of your free time in the evening.

This country is absolutely fantastic! There is so much beauty and excitement everywhere. I can't help but smile whenever I think about my 6 day tour there. Everything was incredible - from visiting villages like Ait Benhadddou, to riding camels, to spending a night in the desert under the breathtaking stars with good food, music, and a great atmosphere. What made it even better was being able to talk to the local people and learn more about their culture. I want to thank Aziz because without him, the trip wouldn't have been as great. I highly recommend this experience to everyone and I'm definitely planning on doing it again
