Next, you'll embark on a walking tour through the city's narrow streets, stopping at famous attractions such as the old Tanneries, Quaraouine Mosque and University, the oldest university in the world, as well as Attarin Medersa and Najjarin Fountain. After the tour, you will be driven back to your riad.

As part of your 8 day desert tour from Tangier to Merzouga, you will travel via the Middle Atlas mountains, taking in the sights of various Berber villages along the way. A highlight will be a stop in the picturesque city of Ifrane, also known as the "Moroccan Switzerland."

Continuing on, you will visit the famous cedar forest in Azrou where you will have the opportunity to spot some monkeys. The next stop will be the town of Midelt where you can take a break and have lunch.

After lunch, the journey will head south towards Erfoud, known for its fossils and annual festival dates market. Along the way, you will pass through the stunning Ziz Valley, where you will stop to take in the panoramic view and appreciate the beauty of the oasis. Finally, you will reach the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night at a hotel in Merzouga.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a Merzouga 4×4 excursion to explore various fascinating locations around Erg Chebbi dunes. Our first stop will be at Hassi Labied oasis, where we will witness its irrigation canal and agricultural land. We will then move towards the south to visit the seasonal Sriji lake, provided that there is water in it.

After this, we will head towards M'ifis mines. Apart from tourism, the Merzouga desert is also famous for minerals and fossils.

During our Merzouga 4×4 desert tour, we will have the unique opportunity to visit a nomadic Berber family who still live in their tent in the middle of the Sahara. We will have a cup of refreshing mint tea with them and learn about their way of life in the desert.

We will also make several stops at different panoramic viewpoints to admire the magnificent scenery and take some stunning photographs. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will return to the village, where you will embark on a camel trek to reach our Berber Camp in Merzouga. Upon arrival at the camp, you will be warmly welcomed with a glass of tea and have some time to relax until dinner. After enjoying a delicious dinner, you can experience some traditional Berber drumming music and marvel at the starry sky before retiring to sleep under a nomadic tent.

Since you are already in the desert, it is worth waking up early in the morning to witness the sunrise near the camp. After this magical experience, you can have breakfast and take a shower at the camp. Then, you can either ride the camels or take a 4WD transfer back to the original starting location, where you will meet your driver to continue your 8 days tour from Tangier.

Afterward, you will have free time to explore the city's charms on your own, whether that means wandering through the streets of the medina, getting lost in its vast market, or savoring traditional Moroccan cuisine in Jamaa el-Fna Square.
