Descriptions

The 2 days tour from Marrakech to Fes through Erg Chebbi dunes is an ideal option for those with limited time in Morocco who want to enjoy a camel trek and a night in a Merzouga desert camp. The tour starts with an early morning pick-up from your hotel/riad in Marrakech at 7:00 a.m. You will have enough time to make several stops along the way, including Tizi N´Tichka pass, where you can take impressive panoramic views and pictures of the authentic Berber small villages that blend into the landscapes.

Afterward, we continue south to Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village, where we will stop briefly for pictures or a short visit if you are traveling in the summer months. Ait Ben Haddou is famous for being a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been used as a filming location for many famous movies, including Gladiator and The Mummy.

We will also see Film studios and Taourirt Kasbah from the outside in Ouarzazate and make other quick stops at different places with spectacular scenery. You will have free time for lunch in Tinejdad or Touroug, and then we continue our way to Merzouga desert to reach the stunning dunes of Erg Chebbi.

From there, you will embark on a 1-1.5-hour camel trek to our Berber camp before dinner. During this time, you will have the opportunity to watch the sunset at the top of a dune, take pictures, and enjoy the views. If you are interested, you can also try sandboarding. At the camp, you will be welcomed with a cup of mint tea, have a delicious dinner, listen to traditional Berber drumming music, and sleep in a tent under a beautiful starry sky.

On the second day, you will watch the sunrise over the dune near the camp, have a delicious breakfast, and take a shower at the camp. Then, you will ride the camels again back to the original starting point, or by 4WD, as you wish. From there, we will head towards Fes via Ziz Valley, the second-longest river in Morocco, and cross the Middle Atlas mountains, where you will enjoy incredible views. You will have free time to have lunch at a restaurant and take a short walk through Cedar forest in Azrou, where you can see wild monkeys and take pictures. We will stop at Ifrane, known as the little Switzerland of Morocco, before finally reaching Fes in the late afternoon. The tour ends with drop-off at your hotel in Fes.
