Our experienced driver will pick you up from your Riad in Fez to start your 3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech. This exciting journey takes you from the beautiful Sahara Desert to the vibrant city of Marrakech, known for its rich history and lively culture. Along the way, you’ll pass through interesting towns and landscapes, including the Middle Atlas Mountains and Berber villages.
You’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the captivating Middle Atlas Mountains, passing charming villages, cedar forests, and picturesque valleys. You’ll also visit Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its European-style architecture and ski resorts. In the cedar forests of Azrou, you can meet friendly Barbary macaque Apes and admire the stunning natural surroundings.
Our journey continues to Medilt, where we’ll probably stop for a delicious lunch. Medilt is a town nestled in the High Atlas Mountains. As we drive south through the Tizi n’Talghemt pass, you’ll be treated to views of the impressive Ziz Valley with thousands of palm trees. This valley is famous for its palm groves, date plantations, and breathtaking scenery.
We’ll pass through Erfoud, known for its “Botchrafin” fossils products, and eventually arrive at Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here, you’ll embark on a magical camel trek into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, just in time to witness the desert’s changing colors as the sun sets. You’ll enjoy a Moroccan dinner with homemade dishes, local music, and a peaceful night’s sleep under the starry desert sky with our desert camp staff.
2nd Day: Merzouga ~ Rissani ~ Todgha Gorge ~ Dades Gorge
During this day of our 3 days Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour, wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over the desert dunes. The golden colors create a magical atmosphere, leaving an unforgettable impression. Enjoy breakfast at the desert camp, then ride a camel or take a 4×4 vehicle back to Merzouga village, where you’ll meet your driver and continue to Dades Valley.
From Merzouga, we’ll head to Rissani to explore the traditional weekly market if we were there in time of one. We’ll head towards Tinjdad where we will make a stop for a delicious lunch, savoring local flavors and taking a moment to relax. Then proceeds to Toudgha Canyon, known for its towering cliffs and winding riverbeds. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to experience and take in the beauty of this stunning location. Our journey through the Dades canyon continues, known for its striking landscapes and deep canyons with impressive rock formations. We’ll spend the night in Dades Valley.
3rd Day: Dades Gorge ~ Kasbah Amridil ~ Marrakech
