Itinerary for 7 days tour from Marrakech

On the first day of your 7 days tour from Marrakech our driver will collect you from the airport, and you will have the day to unwind and discover the main square Jemaa el Fnaa and the souks at your own pace.

On the 2nd of your 7 days tour from Marrakech, you will be accompanied by an experienced local guide for a guided sightseeing tour of Marrakech Medina, where you will have the opportunity to visit famous landmarks such as the Koutoubia Mosque, the Medina's souks and narrow alleys.

Discover other intriguing sites and hidden gems of Marrakech, including the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Ali Ben Youssef Koranic school, and the picturesque Majorelle Gardens. Afterward, you will be transferred back to your traditional Riad located in the Medina.

We will commence our 7 days tour from Marrakech at approximately 08:30, departing for Dades Gorges. Our route will take us over the renowned Tizi N’Tichka pass, offering breathtaking views of the mountains, High Atlas, and Berber villages. We will then proceed to explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, and you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant located close to the Kasbah.

Next, we will head to Ouarzazate, known as "The gate to the Desert," where you will have the opportunity to visit Kasbah Taourirt and the Atlas studios. Owing to its location and nearby castles, this small town has attracted numerous international film producers, earning it the nickname "Hollywood of Africa."

Subsequently, we will journey through Roses and Dades Valley towards Dades Gorges. Here, you will savor a traditional Moroccan dinner and spend the night at a riad/hotel nestled in the Dades Gorges.

Begin your day with a satisfying breakfast before returning to the valley to witness the stunning rock formations known as "the monkey toes" and the 19th-century Kasbah of Ait Yul. From there, make your way towards Tinghir and the Todra gorges, taking in the breathtaking views of the old clay Berber villages perched atop the canyon.

Once you reach the Todra gorges, you can follow the 300m high red cliff, a popular spot for rock-climbing enthusiasts. Next, head to Erfoud for lunch before continuing on to the spectacular sand dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga.

Upon arrival, a skilled camel rider will be ready to guide you on a camel ride through the mesmerizing wavy sand dunes of the Erg-Chebbi. Take a break to relax, watch the sunset, and try sandboarding.

Later, enjoy a delectable dinner and a lively music party around the fire before spending the night under the stars in a traditional Berber-style nomad tent at an equipped desert camp.

On the 5th day of your 7 days tour from Marrakech. After showering and having breakfast at the desert camp, you will ride a camel back to the starting point where you will meet your driver to embark on a discovery tour of the Merzouga area. One of the highlights of the tour is a visit to the seasonal lake of Merzouga, where you can observe various migratory bird species, including flamingos.

You will also have the opportunity to explore a nearby village predominantly inhabited by dark-skinned people originally from Sub-Saharan countries, where you can immerse yourself in their Gnawa music and lifestyle. As you journey towards a nomad family, a brief stop will be made at the small, deserted town of Mefes, famous for its lead mines and minerals.

For the night, you will stay at a hotel where dinner will be provided along with breakfast the following morning.

Following our Farewell breakfast and shower at the hotel, we depart from the Merzouga desert and embark on a journey to Ouarzazate. Instead of the usual route, we take a different road that passes through the Berber villages of the Atlas mountains, such as Alnif, Agdz, and Draa valley, until we reach Ouarzazate by evening. We will have dinner and spend the night at a local riad.

Today, in the morning, we will depart from Ouarzazate towards Marrakech, which is our final destination. Before reaching there, we will visit studios and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N Tichka pass, which is the highest road pass in Morocco. The pass will offer stunning views of canyons, mountains, and several Berber villages in the vicinity. We will arrive in Marrakech by evening. Marking the end of the 7 days tour from Marrakech.

Testimonials

see what some of our clients say about us!

I had never before hired a private tour and was initially worried that the cost would be expensive, especially as we had a Spanish guide exclusively for ourselves and a private car for 7 days. However, it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. Hamid and his team organized a tour that catered to our tastes and needs, and everything was meticulously arranged. With the help of local guides, we were able to enjoy the hotels and authentic cuisine that the region had to offer. Spending a night in the desert camp was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, despite the cold temperature. The stillness of the desert at night and the glittering sand made the sky appear a dark blue, which was simply beautiful. I strongly recommend this trip and extend my gratitude to Hamid for the wonderful experience.
